How to choose apartments in Glacier: a guide to all categories

How to choose Glacier apartments in Bukovel photo

Choosing accommodation at a resort is always a bit like playing Tetris. You have to take into account the number of people, children, suitcases, vacation plans, budget and a dozen other little things. Glacier Premium Apartments has five categories of apartments, and each is tailored to its own scenario. Let's analyze which option suits whom best, so that you don't have to worry about doubts when booking.

How Glacier is different from classic hotels

The first thing to start with: there are no rooms here, but apartments. Each one already has a full kitchen with an induction stove, refrigerator, kettle and coffee maker. A wardrobe with a safe, a bathroom, a balcony or terrace with a view of Lake Molodosti or a coniferous forest.

What does this give in practice? Freedom. You are not tied to the restaurant's opening hours, you can calmly make your morning coffee, have breakfast in a bathrobe on the balcony or arrange breakfast for the children in the usual format. The hotel service is fully preserved. We have already told separately, why having your own kitchen in a hotel apartment is not a fad, but a new culture of relaxation.

And now to the categories.

Standard: compact comfort for two

The most compact category, thought out to the smallest detail. One large double bed, a neat kitchen area with everything you need, a bathroom, and a balcony.

Who is it for? A couple without children who came for a short weekend or a few days to ski or relax in a spa. A business guest who works remotely and wants to combine work with the mountains. Those for whom the main thing in a vacation is the mountains themselves, not the square meters in the room.

Superior: a little more space and light

A logical upgrade to Standard. The same format for two, but with a wider room, a better view and a feeling of air. Little things that make up the impression of morning coffee on the terrace.

Who is it for? A couple planning a vacation of five days or more. The case when not only a night's sleep is important, but also the evening hours in the apartment itself. Friends traveling together and not wanting to sacrifice space.

Junior Suite: studio for active recreation

Studio format with a main double bed and an additional soft folding chair that converts into a third bed. A classic layout solution for those looking for maximum functionality without overpaying for the unnecessary.

Who it's for. A small family with one child. Three friends who are skiing or cycling and use the apartment mainly for sleeping. A couple with a pet who appreciates the extra space. By the way, Glacier accepts guests with pets, this is also a separate interesting story.

Suite: for families who want space

Increased area, format with a separate bedroom or a planning solution where there is a comfortable sofa bed. A full-fledged guest area appears: a dining table, a sofa, a space for evening gatherings with the whole family.

Who is it suitable for? A family with one or two children. Guests who plan a long stay and want to have the feeling of a home in the apartment, not a temporary room. Those for whom the ability to divide the space is important (someone works, someone watches cartoons, no one bothers anyone).

Premium: top category for 4-6 guests

The largest apartments in the complex with an area of 65 to 67 square meters. Two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies. A large combined area with a kitchen-living room, where the whole company can comfortably gather. Terraces up to 22 square meters with a view of the mountain lake.

You can choose from two views: on Lake Molodosti (the highlight of the resort) or on the forest side, which is quieter and more private. Each apartment is designed for 6 guests thanks to a sofa bed.

Who is it for? Two families with children traveling together. A group of adult friends who don't want to be spread out across different rooms. Large families planning to celebrate anniversaries or New Year's in the mountains. Category details can be found view the apartments page.

Cheat sheet: which option do you need

To avoid confusion, here is a very brief logic:

  • Traveling as a couple for 2-4 days: Standard
  • For two people for a week or more: Superior
  • Three people or with a child without unnecessary space requirements: Junior Suite
  • Family with 1-2 children, need a "home away from home": Suite
  • Large company or several families: Premium

What else to consider besides area

Category is just one parameter of choice. Several other things affect comfort.

View from the window. On Lake Molodosti (more scenic, dynamic side) or on the forest (quieter, more private). There is no better or worse here, it is a matter of mood.

Floor. Higher floors offer more expansive views, lower floors are more convenient for families with small children and guests with dogs.

Additional services: Glacier has on-site Sky SPA with the concept of 4 elements, Fitness & Wellness Club, two La Famiglia restaurants, children's space and even licensed kindergartenIf you plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel, this factor may weigh more than the size of the apartment.

And one more thing

If you plan to come to Bukovel regularly, it makes sense to look at Members Club. Permanent discounts on accommodation and services of the complex, special conditions of accommodation. Pays off faster than it seems at first glance.

Choosing an apartment in Glacier is the rare case when there are no bad options. There are simply different vacation scenarios, each of which has its own category. And then all you have to do is come and see for yourself.
